The story of Les Vidangeurs de Guinée (LVG) reflects the journey of a family business from Conakry into a structured company delivering critical services to Simandou – one of the largest mine and infrastructure projects in the world.
Every day, before dawn and past sunset, unbeknownst to most, its teams maintain and upkeep more than 50 mobile sanitation units at Beyla’s sites, directly contributing to the health, safety and well-being of workers. Their work includes emptying, cleaning, inspection and regular control of the installations. This role, though discreet, ensures a reliable and continuous sanitation system that supports day-to-day operations at the SimFer-run mine site.
In just a few years, LVG has grown from a team of three to more than fifteen employees, many recruited from the communities neighbouring the mine site. This growth has been accompanied by a significant strengthening of its operational capabilities, including a fleet of seven trucks and the introduction of structured internal procedures aligned with recognised professional standards.
By meeting the requirements of a large and complex industrial operation, the company has strengthened its organisation, expanded its workforce and increased its operational reach. Through steady investment, discipline and a focus on quality, LVG built a solid foundation for continued growth.

“It’s a discreet job, but it’s essential to the health and safety of all workers,” says Ousmane, LVG’s Managing Director.
