How we process personal data that are collected or obtained via this website

With the exception of the use of cookies (explained below), SimFer S.A generally does not set out to collect personal data via this website.

However, if you decide to provide your personal data to SimFer S.A via this website (e.g. by sending an email), we will process that personal data in order for us to respond to your inquiry and, if necessary, to manage our business relationship with you or your company. We will not process that personal data for any other purposes, except if it is necessary in order to fulfil our legal obligations, or in another way in accordance with the legal authorisations and notice that we send to you.

The legal foundations for the processing of personal data are the following:

  • Law L/2016/037/AN of 28 July 2016 on cybersecurity and the protection of personal data in the Republic of Guinea
  • the legitimate interest of SimFer S.A to perform its business activities (when we process data obtained via your emails); and
  • your consent (when we process data via cookies)

We do not retain personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing (e.g. for us to respond to your email).

We may share the personal data that we process with our service providers (such as companies that provide IT services to us) to the extent that the sharing of the data is necessary to provide such services.

We may transmit your personal data to countries outside of Guinea only if:

  • the country to which data is being transmitted is a member of the Council of Europe Convention for the Protection of Individuals with Regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data, or the European Commission has adopted a decision on the appropriate level of data protection for that country; or
  • we use the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission, which establish the minimum terms and conditions that must be met in order for personal data to be protected in an adequate manner.

  • request access to the personal data that SimFer has about them;
  • request the correction of inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date personal data;
  • request the deletion of their personal data;
  • receive information about how their personal data is processed;
  • object to the processing of their personal data;
  • request the restriction of the processing of their personal data under the terms and conditions stipulated by law;
  • withdraw their consent to processing, which they previously gave with regards to SimFer S. A’s processing of their personal data. A withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing based on consent prior to withdrawal; and
  • submit a complaint to the personal data protection authority.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (‘Google’), on our websites.
